Terms and conditions

Who these terms are between

These terms govern use of the platform by an institute and by everyone the institute gives access to - its staff, its students and their parents.

The institute is responsible for the accounts it creates and for the accuracy of the records it enters.

Subscriptions and billing

Access is sold by subscription. A plan sets what the institute may use and the limits that apply to it - students, staff, storage and so on.

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal, so an institute is not cut off mid-term. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded on cancellation unless agreed in writing.

Your data stays yours

The records an institute enters remain the institute's property. Each institute is held in its own database rather than sharing rows with others.

An institute may export its data while its subscription is active. After cancellation the data is retained for a limited period so it can be recovered, then permanently deleted.

Acceptable use

The platform may not be used to store unlawful content, to attempt to reach another institute's data, or to disrupt the service for others.

Examination features are provided as tools. Deciding what a result means, and acting on it, remains the institute's responsibility.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance is notified in advance where practical.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms may change. Material changes are notified to the institute's registered contact before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after that constitutes acceptance.
